WHAT DO I DO WHEN I GET TO THE TRANSFER STATION?

Upon entering the District Facility, residents will bear right and wait at the STOP sign until directed by the attendant to drive on to the scale.  You will then present your permit to the attendant and he will inspect your load.

If your load contains scrap wood waste, brush yard waste or scrap metal, the attendant will ONLY RECORD your permit number, he WILL NOT collect a permit slip "pass".  You will follow the traffic signs and deposit your items in the designated areas.  In order to exit, you will wait at the STOP sign for the attendant to direct you to leave the drop off area.

Any items OTHER THAN scrap wood waste, brush, yard waste, scrap metal, tires or appliances containing refrigerant gases (refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners or dehumidifiers) must go to the auger compactor drop off area.  Items going to this area MUST BE WEIGHED and one permit slip "pass" will be collected per day, with same day multiple loads allowed with that "pass". Upon leaving the auger compactor drop off area, please follow the traffic signs and wait at the STOP sign for the attendant to direct you back on to the scale.  Your vehicle will be weighed again and the weight deposited will be recorded and billed to your municipality.
